Essential Duties & Responsibilities of Finisher:

  • Handle multiple priorities with a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail and urgency
  • Work with a variety of finishes to achieve high end finish standards
  • Perform touch up repairs
  • Help maintain and perform maintenance on finishing equipment
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed by management

Requirements of Finisher:

  • Experience in a wood finishing environment
  • Experience with sanding and painting using lacquer, urethane, waterborne, and polyester finishes
  • Experience painting with a variety of HVLP spray equipment
  • Ability to mix stains, dyes and pigments based upon a work order
  • Ability to stain match
  • Attention to detail
  • Basic knowledge of measuring and calculating dimensions of a project using a tape measure and calculator
  • Knowledge of fixture assembly and construction
  • Able to read construction and assembly drawings
  • Understand client quality expectations
  • Willing to travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications of Finisher:

  • Five years of experience in a wood finishing environment

Installation Supervisor

Summary:

  • The Installation Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and management of field activities including but not limited to layout, measuring, templating, delivery, scheduling, installation, safety and reporting for the installation of all cabinets, millwork and related components.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities of Installation Supervisor:

  • Lead crews of 2-15 carpenters through coaching, mentoring, training and performance evaluations depending on scale and scope of the project
  • Self-perform installation duties based on need
  • Collaborate with internal and external project teams
  • Execute projects within defined budgets and timelines while meeting quality expectations
  • Monitor and report on field activities using available tools such as email, phone and other technologies
  • Effectively and professionally communicate with general contractors, site superintendents, subcontractors, internal teams and clients
  • Conduct field audits to ensure compliance with company policy
  • Ensures compliance with all company safety policies including good housekeeping practices, on site safety meetings, safety inspections, safety rule compliance and incident reporting and investigation
  • Ensure all installation activities are in compliance with governmental regulations and OSHA guidelines
  • Facilitate onboarding, payroll and terminations related to installation crews
  • Identify and evaluate crew member talent and skillsets needed based on project requirements
  • Engage in continuous improvement activities
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Field Services Manager

Requirements of Installation Supervisor:

  • Five or more years of experience in millwork installation and/or construction supervision.
  • Previous finish carpentry experience
  • Extensive travel (100%)
  • Able to handle confidential information in a professional manner
  • Effectively lead employees
  • Ability to work in a team environment – collaborating with internal and external partners
  • Ability to adjust to frequently changing project schedules and timelines
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a professional demeanor
  • Possess good analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills in MS Office Suite
  • Knowledge of fixture assembly and construction
  • Ability to read and understand construction documents (plans and specifications), spreadsheets and shop drawings
  • Excellent negotiating skills
  • Ability to make informed decisions and provide clear direction to direct reports
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work with minimum supervision; possess self-discipline
  • Understand Client quality expectations

Preferred Qualifications of Installation Supervisor:

  • Previous experience in the woodworking industry, specifically retail and architectural millwork
  • Degree in Construction Management
  • Previous construction contracting experience

Estimator Manager

Essential Duties & Responsibilities of the Estimating Manager:

  • Manage, lead and oversee the Estimating Department
  • Act as a liaison between the multiple departments to ensure a consistent and effective process flow and overall goal achievement
  • Identify, evaluate and prioritize bidding opportunities to align with company strategies and initiatives
  • Maintain and analyze submitted proposals data and report won/loss trends to management
  • Create, implement and maintain necessary Estimating Department standard operating procedures
  • Ensure consistency of bidding practices between members of Estimating Team
  • Ensure compliance and use of standard time and materials rates
  • Assign estimators based on availability and maintain overall bid schedule to achieve required bid dates
  • Collaborate with cross functional employees on contract documents to ensure complete compliance
  • Estimate/budget projects, as needed
  • Provide support, oversight and review of bids and bid document completion
  • Schedule bid reviews with assigned estimator prior to review with management to ensure estimates are completed to meet expectations of the scope, schedule, and contract documents
  • Attend all bid reviews with management and estimators
  • Meet with clients and travel to bid review meetings, as necessary
  • Manage software implementation, training and support
  • Oversee multiple priorities with a close attention to detail
  • Perform other duties and activities as defined and directed by the CEOEmployee Leadership:
  • Provide motivating management style that leads by example and inspires employees to work at their peak performance
  • Coach and develop individual’s skillsets to grow within the organization
  • Interpret personnel policy, conduct accurate and objective employee performance appraisals
  • Demonstrate effective communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Develop relationships across departmental boundaries to ensure a consistent and effective communication and process flow
  • Provide leadership to the Estimating Team to ensure adherence to schedule and customer requirementsQualifications of the Estimating Manager:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Construction Management or equivalent experience required
  • 7 years of Estimating experience in an architectural woodworking or retail construction environment
  • 3 years of previous Estimating Team Management required
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office and Project Management programs (MRP/ERP)
  • Effective leadership experience
  • Strong communication skills via email, phone, or in-person
  • Ability to read and understand bid documents, specifications, spreadsheets, shop drawings and blueprints is mandatory
  • Excellent technical skills and knowledge of store fixtures and/or architectural millwork
  • Possess good analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Individual must be a motivated team player that can add value to a team environment
  • Ability to think creatively and apply ingenuity to problem solving
