Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance, repairs and preventative maintenance on manufacturing facility equipment and property structures, in addition to performing grounds maintenance. All work will be done in compliance with EPA, Hazmat and OSHA safety rules and regulations.

Working Environment: Maintenance is a fast-paced, physically-demanding environment that requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, frequent stooping, kneeling and crawling.

Requirements:

Maintenance Technician

  • Maintain both shop and building equipment by following diagrams, prints, operations manuals and manufacturer’s instructions
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines and power tools
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
  • Locate sources of problems by observing both machine and mechanical devices in operation and listening for problems that may occur
  • Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance needed and the completion dates/times associated with the project
  • Provide machine and mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests from co-workers
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with all company procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Order, repair and/or replace defective parts in machines or mechanical devices, using both hand and power tools
  • Troubleshoot equipment and repair when necessary
  • Reports damage, defects and safety related issues to Shop Supervision immediately
  • Participate in meetings, training(s) and seminars to advance skills and work efficiently
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Effectively communicate with co-workers and management
  • Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels, etc.)
  • Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary
  • Maintain HVAC and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
  • Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, etc.)
  • Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry, snow removal, etc.)
  • Maintain service logs for the overall facility, including logs for production equipment
  • May initiate requisitions for machines, parts, supplies and tooling

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician
  • Proficient use of meters and diagnostic tools
  • Basic understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
  • Working knowledge of tools, woodworking production equipment and general building maintenance
  • Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
  • Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
  • High school diploma or equivalent with not less than 3 years of relevant maintenance experience

Lead Maintenance Technician

  • All Requirements/Qualifications of Maintenance Technician listed above AND:
  • Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
  • Inspect alarm systems and schedule repairs as needed
  • Work with IT or outside vendors to troubleshoot equipment computer and/or connectivity issues
  • Schedule and delegate work as needed
  • Review completed work for quality and compliance with requirements
  • Provide and/or coordinate training for other Maintenance personnel
  • Additional tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Facilities Maintenance Technician or Industrial Maintenance Technician certification required
  • Proficient use of meters and diagnostic tools
  • Comprehensive understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
  • High school diploma or equivalent with not less than 5 years of relevant maintenance experience
  • Plumbing or Electrical license is a plus

Level 1

  • Assemble units squarely and within dimensional tolerances

  • Awareness of budgets for work order
  • Basic sanding knowledge of wood and solid surface

Level 3  

  • Demonstrate ability to use detailed measuring device equipment
  • Interpret blueprints for assembly

Level 5  

  • Assist co-workers by being willing to answer questions
  • Identify joinery types, when to use, and the difference between a field joint versus a shop joint
  • Complete dry fitting of field joints and document appropriately
  • Demonstrate the ability to use all power equipment and hand tools in the assembly area
  • Responsible for budget attainment and the quality level of product
  • Understand fixture construction process
  • Familiar with door/drawer mounting and various types of hardware applications
  • Knowledge of outfitting basic wiring

Journeyman

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media according to established guidelines and procedures.
    • Determine and develop CNC tool path for each component part
  • Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
  • Verifies conformance of finished work-piece to specifications, using measuring and inspection tools as necessary.

Duties & Responsibilities

Summary: The Detail Drafter role is responsible for the creation of Detailed Shop Drawings, and Manufacturing Routings, for use by CNC Programmers, through the use of SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities of the Detail Drafter:

  • Monitor and Expedite information to establish and maintain project schedules within budget
  • Create accurate machining details and drawings by using a value engineering approach
  • Communicate with Product Engineers and Purchasing concerning the proper use of materials

  • Collaborate with Engineers and other Drafters to meet established standards
  • Effectively and professionally communicate with internal and external customers
  • Perform any and all other duties as assigned by the manager
    Qualifications of the Detail Drafter:
  • Two-year technical degree in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Manufacturing, or Drafting
  • Two years of detail drafting in the areas of manufacturing, cabinetry, or millwork, and /or three years of commercial manufacturing shop floor experience in the areas of furniture, cabinetry, or millwork
  • Proficient computer skills in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and MS Office. Previous experience working with an ERP software is a plus
  • Exceptional knowledge of shop drawings, design drawings, bill of material structure, routing structure, work center methodology and standard machining methods
  • Strong working material knowledge with wood, and metal
  • Knowledge of AWI standards preferred
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision; possess self-discipline, and have the ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks

Essential Duties & Responsibilities of the Project Buyer:

  • Manages and effectively communicates timelines for all purchasing activities to meet project milestones and Purchasing deliverables
  • Responsible for the procurement of all non-stock materials, researching, implementing and managing suppliers for assigned projects
  • Manage the subcontracting of manufacturing to ensure that company standards, schedules and quality expectations are maintained
  • Managing all aspects of finish samples from suppliers to meet the expectations of the clients and their material selections
  • Act as Liaison between Project Team and Procurement team to ensure the sourcing of preferred suppliers on all projects
  • Ensures that the supplier complies with Goebel’s quality standards and purchasing procedures
  • Proactively research and verify new and alternative sources of supply
  • Work closely with estimating to ensure materials costs are current and accurate for future bids
  • Maintain required purchasing information in ERP system
  • Assist in project VE/VA activities with supplier support
  • Conduct supplier site visits and audits
  • Maintain supplier metrics in ERP system and review with key suppliers
  • Coordinates with Project Executives, Project Managers, Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure supplier deliverables meet the project requirements
  • Works with manufacturing/logistics to ensure component availability and supplier readiness on new programs, as required
  • Negotiate with suppliers on pricing and delivery and work to develop programs that produce sustainable results
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Procurement Manager

Qualifications of the Project Buyer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement or related field preferred. Equivalent experience also considered.
  • 3-5 years of experience in purchasing and/or project management
  • Experience in architectural millwork or store fixture industry preferred
  • Proficient Computer skills in MS Office and Project Management programs (MRP/ERP)
  • Ability to read and understand bid documents, specifications, spreadsheets, shop drawings and blueprints is mandatory
  • Possess good analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Individual must be a motivated team player that can add value to a team environment
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision; possess self-discipline with the ability to effectively prioritize
