Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Summary: Assemble pre-machined components/parts and “assemble” the units into fixtures or displays

Requirements:

Level 1  

  • Able to use common hand tools
  • Familiar with the types of fasteners
  • Understand how to operate a table saw and chop saw
  • Basic knowledge of woodworking
  • Basic knowledge of adhesives

Level 2

  • Assemble units squarely and within dimensional tolerances
  • Knowledge of how to operate and adjust assembly equipment, including: table saw, jointer, hand router, splinter, power screwdrivers, power screw dado machine, and miscellaneous hand tools
  • Basic knowledge of various joinery options
  • Awareness of budgets for work order
  • Basic sanding knowledge of wood and solid surface
  • Able to fasten using adhesives and knowledge of dry time needed
  • Able to read blueprints and work packet information

Level 3  

  • Demonstrate ability to use detailed measuring device equipment
  • Interpret blueprints for assembly
  • Knowledge of wood species and characteristics
  • Exhibit knowledge of touch-up processes, such as, filler sticks, putty sticks, etc
  • Understand how to prep for finishing
  • Knowledge of metal break and sheer
  • Know how to maintain and care for tools
  • Able to pull information from work packet, such as: budget, material and hardware requirements

Level 4  

  • Exhibit knowledge on how to use all assembly equipment
  • Select appropriate fasteners and adhesives for the process
  • In depth knowledge of work packets and section views
  • Review the quality of the product
  • Advanced knowledge of joinery and fastener types
  • Determine best adhesives to use for project: metal, wood, etc
  • Mark fixtures with the correct information
  • Knowledge of inlay material for detailed process
  • Advanced knowledge of wood characteristics and species

Level 5  

  • Assist co-workers by being willing to answer questions
  • Identify joinery types, when to use, and the difference between a field joint versus a shop joint
  • Complete dry fitting of field joints and document appropriately
  • Demonstrate the ability to use all power equipment and hand tools in the assembly area
  • Responsible for budget attainment and the quality level of product
  • Understand fixture construction process
  • Familiar with door/drawer mounting and various types of hardware applications
  • Knowledge of outfitting basic wiring
  • Extensive knowledge of wood characteristics, species, handling, etc.
  • Complete understanding of how to read a blueprint and work packet

Journeyman

  • Leader others by showing them the best method and mentoring them through the process
  • Cross-train to learn other functions
  • Identify construction methods to improve the current process
  • Ensure a quality product is being produced for the customer
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of the area with little supervision.

  • Fabricate/assemble/finish metal components for High End customers
  • Cut Raw metal materials using Cold Saw/Band Saw/Shear
  • Use of various Pneumatic/Electric hand tools for metal prep and finishing
  • Operate CNC Mills and Drill presses
  • Assist with Press Brake and Miter-Folding operations
  • Operate forklift/pallet jacks for material handling (will train & certify)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Handle multiple priorities with a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail and urgency.
  • Analyze fixture construction and manufacturing techniques of metal products.
  • Analyze detailed and complex drawings to determine specific requirements within tolerance.
  • Anticipate, recommend and respond to changes where needed to ensure products can be delivered and installed per plan.
  • Maintain construction continuity between drawings within each project.

Requirements:

  • TIG (GTAW) welding experience preferred
  • 1 or 2 year welding degree
  • Experience with aluminum and stainless steel a requirement
  • Fabrication experience
  • Blueprint reading
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
  • Possess good computer skills with the ability to interface with internal software (i.e. Excel)
  • Embrace a strong customer focus with an understanding of quality standards.
  • Must be detail oriented.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Create project budgets and assemble complete proposal packages by determining contract type and scope of the project
  • Identify and calculate costs for manufacturing, labor, delivery, installation, and tax
  • Establish the manufacturing shop order with budget materials, dollars, and labor hours
  • Review proposals with the President, Finance & Estimating Manager
  • Conduct project hand off meetings with the Project Team, when a contract is awarded
  • Collaborate with the Project Executive and/or Project Manager(s) to understand the scope of work and pricing structure of each project
  • Review all client returned submittal drawings as requested by the Project Executive to ensure that they support the established budgets. Report all inconsistencies and follow up on resolutions
  • Analyze all project budgets, including costs by fixture, to ensure that projects are engineered, manufactured and installed profitably. Adjust budgets as necessary to develop future profitability
  • Develop change order budgets and assembling complete proposal packages
  • Prepare and submit documentation for PR’s, ASI’s, CCP’s and PO’s and Change Orders
  • Record all budget data for submitted PR’s, ASI’s, CCP’s and PO’s and Change Orders
  • Effectively and professionally communicate with inside and outside contacts
  • Travel to job sites as deemed necessary
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Estimating Manager or President

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree or Equivalent experience in estimating, manufacturing and/or installation
  • Excellent technical skills and knowledge of store fixtures and/or architectural millwork
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs and ERP/MRP programs
  • Ability to read and understand bid documents, specifications, spreadsheets, shop drawings and blueprints
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Understanding of manufacturing and installation processes
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision; possess self-discipline with the ability to effectively prioritize

Essential Duties & Responsibilities of the Project Manager:

  • Adheres to Goebel’s Core Values and all safety and quality requirements
  • Responsible for full understanding of contract documents
  • Responsible for handling all drawing submittals to and from the client
  • Manage and document project schedules as dictated by the Project Executive for both internal and external clients to ensure all essential milestone dates are met
  • Responsible for direct coordination with Procurement Team for all long lead time and non-stock materials to accommodate project schedule
  • Creation of sales orders, projects, change orders and engineering work orders within MRP/ERP system from quotations
  • Quotation generation in system for projects that do not require pricing by Estimator
  • Ensure proper documentation of rework and change orders
  • Facilitation of handoff meetings between Estimating, Engineering and Production
  • Support weekly activities of Installation Team while onsite
  • Coordinate activities of project to ensure progress is on schedule, is shipped on time, and is within prescribed budget
  • Collaborate with production to ensure that all project dates and quality expectations are being met
  • Managing all aspects of finish samples from suppliers to meet the expectations of the clients and their material selections
  • Evaluate the labor and material costs associated to each job code, report inconsistencies and/or inaccuracies and follow up on all resolutions
  • Effectively and professionally communicate inside and outside the organization

Qualifications of the Project Manager:

  • Associate’s degree (A. A.) required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in architectural millwork or store fixture industry
  • Experience with vendor management required
  • Experience in purchasing and procurement preferred
  • Proficient computer skills in MS Office and Project Management programs (MRP/ERP)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Essential Duties & Responsibilities of the Sr. Project Manager:

Project Management

  • Manage and lead the entire project life cycle
  • Ensure projects are completed to meet the scope, schedule, and budget expectations
  • Builds and sustains strong positive relationships with internal and external customers to ensure completion of project deliverables
  • Responsible for regular customer communications throughout the project life cycle and appropriate distribution of communication to internal customers as required
  • Act as a liaison between departments to ensure a consistent and effective process flow and overall goal achievement
  • Ensure product quality by monitoring and reviewing the drawing process, conducting regular and systematic production reviews, and visiting job sites as needed to understand quality from the client’s perspective
  • Engage in opportunities to increase market share within current client base by identifying new client opportunities
  • Oversee multiple priorities with a close attention to detail

Essential Job Functions

  • Responsible for review and reporting of project progress and notify department manager of any concerns immediately along with ideas to best mitigate financial losses moving forward
  • Ensure proper documentation of rework and change orders
  • Facilitation of handoff meetings between Estimating, Engineering and Production
  • Support weekly activities of Installation Team while onsite
  • Clearly communicate any and all issues arising out of punch walks onsite with client to all associated company teams and follow through to ensure completion in timely fashion for proper project closeout
  • Managing all aspects of finish samples from suppliers to meet the expectations of the clients and their material selections
  • Evaluate the labor and material costs associated to each job code, report inconsistencies and/or inaccuracies and follow up on all resolutions
  • Perform other duties and activities as defined and directed by the Director of Client Services

Qualifications of the Sr. Project Manager:

  • Associate’s degree (A. A.) required, Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Construction Management or equivalent experience preferred
  • 3 years of hands-on Project Management experience in a woodworking or construction (retail or residential) environment
  • Proficient Computer Skills in Microsoft Office and Project Management programs (MRP/ERP)
  • Effective leadership experience
  • Strong Communication Skills via email, phone, or in-person
  • Ability to read and understand bid documents, specifications, spreadsheets, shop drawings and blueprints is mandatory
  • Excellent technical skills and knowledge of store fixtures and/or architectural millwork.
  • Possess good analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Individual must be a motivated team player that can add value to a team environment
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Ability to think creatively and apply ingenuity to problem solving
